The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to:
1. Know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.
2. Develop a creative, supportive fellowship.
3. Expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church.
Here is a few of our many missions we support:
A Door of Hope Pregnancy Center – opened in 1981. Some free services they offer include pregnancy testing limited ultrasound imaging and peer counseling, etc. Foundational to their program is the love and hope of the Gospel.
SUNSHINE – is an offering taken by the Circles and used for sending cards, flowers, etc. to members that are ill or have bereavement.
LEAST COIN – is a voluntary monthly offering of the least coin of each country (in our case, a penny) collected in the Circles and it is worldwide, with women from many countries contributing the “least coin” of their individual country. The money collected is used to benefit children and women worldwide.
